Enchanted Hearts by Belinda Boring

This review was originally posted on September 16, 2015.

A wonderful story about the Tuatha de Danaan. Belinda Boring's  novella, Enchanted Hearts is nothing like any other Danaan book you have read!

Macyn's Letter by S.L. Stacker

The following review was originally posted on November 10, 2015. This is book 1 of a three part series. I realize that the reviews for this series are lacking a bit. This would be because I read them super fast for a blog tour (which I no longer do) and I didn't absorb a lot because I was trying to read them fast. One of these days I will go back, re-read the series and redo my reviews.

The Brown House by Christy Sloat

B&N Summer Reading Triathlon

Have you heard? Barnes & Noble is doing a Summer Reading Triathlon. Such a great way to help your kids earn a free book from B&N! All you have to do is go to their website and print out the reading journal. Once the journal is full, go to your local B&N and turn it in for a free book!

While we don't have a Barnes & Noble near us, our local library does something very similar. My son participated during the summer between 4th and 5th grade. However, after the first journal turn in, he stopped doing it, because the only books available were well below his reading level (he reads about 3-5 levels above his grade). I asked the librarian about books for children with other reading levels, and she told me the grant didn't include teen books :(

Please get your children involved in something like this if you can. There is nothing better than seeing your child reading for pleasure!

This is my son, Connor, reading while eating breakfast. I am so thrilled that he loves to read as much as my husband and I do!
